Wednesday, November 7, 2007.....We, once again, Said Thanks To All....! We have worked together to keep Sycamore the "Best of the Best"

At the swearing in as Board President for 2009 Ken's feelings were expressed: "It is with humility, honor, and pride that I have been elected to serve a second term as the Sycamore Board of Education President. As we enter this new year, our challenge is to ensure that we practice continuous improvement..and understand Leadership from the Sycamore Board of Education must continue to allow our Community to realize its potential."

The Sycamore School Board has made great progress in all areas promised during the Campaign of 2003. We all learned a lot in 2004 with both the failure and the passage of a Levy. Our "Contract with the Community" is changing the Sycamore Culture.The Conversion of the Limited Levy on May 5th, 2009 with a passage by 74% reinforced the importance of our work together.

A Culture that understands the Objective:

"For our schools to provide value to the community through the achievement of superior educational results in the most cost effective and efficient method."

 

This Site: www.votekenrichter.com was developed during the Campaign of 2003 to facilitate effective and efficient communication. It served us well during the Campaign and allowed the community to get to know and understand what Ken's "Leadership Style" would add to the Sycamore Board of Education. It was updated for the Campaigns of 2007 as Ken was Re-Elected and promised to continue his dedication to: "serve the whole community and its children".

We now come back to the ballot in 2011 with minor changes to the Web Site, but with eight years of "Proven Leadership."

The Issue addressed in the election of 2003, 2007 and again in 2011 is effective Leadership. Effective Leadership comes about through good communication and hard work. It should not be measured by what people say they are going to do..... nor what they say they did.....But by what others know they did. This is learned from experience and by holding yourself and others responsible and accountable.

The TEAM Accomplishments over the past eight years (2004-2011) of service on the Sycamore School Board exhibit effective leadership through teamwork.

Good communications builds relationships of trust and willing partnerships. My Leadership Skills and my ability to build working partnerships will be used and further developed as I return to the Board. This is what will allow the Sycamore School District to Maintain, Improve and Continue on a Course of Pursuing Perfection.

This Site was launched as a NO EXCUSE communication tool during the 2003 Campaign and has been maintained during Ken's service to the Sycamore Community. On November 8th of 2011, Ken will again need your vote to continue the "Academic Excellence" with strong "Financial Controls" that have prevailed for the past 8 Years.
